I was born in Yorkshire, studied in Newcastle and then lived and worked in London in bookselling, publishing and, for the longest time, in art technology. I still love London but now spend a lot of every year in West Dorset.
Imagery has always been important to me and I spent over half my adult life working to support artists and galleries, There is a daunting mass of great images online and out in the world, into which I will add my small, emerging voice, and keep taking and posting photos.
I am not a full-time photographer and don't label myself an artist. Until Summer 2026, I have never shared any images in order to convey emotion or tell a story. I don't expect anyone to like all of them but I hope you find something to enjoy here, or stop and wonder. Feel free to give me (constructive) feedback.

Equipment
I use a Sony AR7V, as a main camera and have a trio of point and shoot cameras that I sometimes use - a FujiFilm X100VI, a tiny Sony RX100VII and a Leica Q3 43. I use Adobe Lightroom Classic. I am 100% digital these days but the ordinary world on colour film from decades ago has become more interesting than it felt at the time so it may creep into the website one day.
