I was born in Yorkshire, studied in Newcastle and then lived and worked in London in bookselling, publishing and, for the longest time, in art technology. I still love London but now spend a lot of every year in West Dorset.
Imagery has always been important to me and I spent over half my adult life working to support artists and galleries, There is a daunting mass of great images online and out in the world but I still want to add my own voice by taking and posting photos.
Until Summer 2026, I have never shared any images in order to convey emotion or tell a story. I don't expect anyone to like all of them but I hope everyone could find something to enjoy here.

Equipment
I use a Sony AR7V, as a main camera and have a trio of point and shoot cameras that I sometimes use - a FujiFilm X100VI, a tiny Sony RX100VII and a Leica Q3 43. I use Adobe Lightroom Classic. I am 100% digital these days but the ordinary world on colour film from decades ago has become more interesting than it felt at the time so it may creep into the website one day.
